Jimmy Nguyen, M.Ed, LPC-R

Licensed Professional Counselor, Resident in Counseling

You work hard, you follow the blueprint to success, you do all the right things and make all the right choices, you sacrificed to get to where you are at this point. Yet, instead of feeling accomplished and satisfied, you feel anxious, unhappy, lost, empty, and more uncertain than ever. If that sounds like you, I want you to know that you are not alone. With a little bit of dedication and direction, you can achieve a life that you're proud of and that fulfills you-- one that gives you excitement, motivation, energy, purpose, and meaning.

I believe that living in a world where we are constantly told who we are and what we should do gets in the way of living our best lives. Through my therapeutic approach of humanistic and existential orientation, I can help guide you to the answers that you're looking for by asking the right questions and providing the non-judgmental space you need to fully explore your formative experiences, your identity, your beliefs, your values, and ultimately who you are and what your purpose is in this world.

In addition, being a second-generation Vietnamese-American and having lived in Japan for 11 years has afforded me with a unique global and cultural lens. I specialize in international & multicultural populations, Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) issues, and the LGBTQ+ community. I am also familiar with near-death experiences (NDEs) and can help you through issues related to grief, identity, relationships, depression, anxiety, life transitions, trauma, distress tolerance, lack of motivation, meaning and purpose, and pressures from family and society.

Many great therapists out there can give you the skills and coping strategies to address your anxiety, depression, and relationship problems. However, if you're willing and ready to go deeper, learn what's truly important to you, discover your true calling, and unlock your true potential, I invite you to reach out and see if we would be a good fit. I look forward to hearing from you!
